Capsule filling / Troubleshooting

Following a powder-feed stop back to level sensing.

A feed interruption initially looked like a sensor or powder-flow problem. The service record points to the sensing arrangement as the issue that needed correcting.

THE SITUATION

What brought us to the machine.

An automatic capsule filler stopped because powder was not reaching the dosing area reliably. The powder sensor and feed motor were checked and found to respond, so the investigation also considered powder bridging and the hopper arrangement.

THE WORK

How our team approached it.

  1. 01

Checked sensor response and feed-motor operation with the production team.

  2. 02

Reviewed the temporary sensor position after the original sensor tube had become discolored.

  3. 03

Replaced the sensor tube and returned the sensor to its intended position.

THE VISIT RECORD

What the service record confirms

The detailed closing note records the feed issue as resolved after the sensor tube was replaced and the sensor was reinstalled. The proposed agitator modification was not carried out.

BEYOND THE VISIT

What comes next matters, too.

This visit informs how we approach a feed complaint: check the material, sensing arrangement and actual machine response together before deciding on a mechanical change.
