Counting & bottling / Adjustment

Correcting where a desiccant strip is cut.

Incorrect cutting intervals called for attention to both the sensor and the way the strip traveled through the machine.

THE SITUATION

What brought us to the machine.

A desiccant inserter was not recognizing the correct stop-and-cut position. The strip was being cut at the wrong intervals.

THE WORK

How our team approached it.

  1. 01

Adjusted the sensor position, strip guide wheels and clamping tension.

  2. 02

Checked the lighting and shadowing around the sensor.

  3. 03

Reset the sensor and configured its settings for the application.

THE VISIT RECORD

What the service record confirms

The machine-specific service note records proper operation after adjustment. It separately recommends repairing the sensor-holder thread so the sensor can remain securely positioned.

BEYOND THE VISIT

What comes next matters, too.

A correct setting also needs a secure mechanical position. The holder repair remained a recommendation in this record.
